Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 30, 2026
Kaibell uses data only to identify residents, locate entrances, place digital doorbell calls and video calls, authorize access, send alerts and keep the front desk secure. We do not sell personal data and we do not run behavioral advertising.
1. Who controls the data
Kaibell is responsible for processing data from the app and the website. In client buildings, the building may also act as a controller of the records related to its own front desk. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to privacidade@kaibell.app.
2. Data we process
| Category | Examples | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Identification and contact | Name and email | Create the account, authenticate the user, recover access and provide support. |
| Residence | Building, address, block and apartment | Link the resident to the correct unit and route doorbell calls. |
| Visitors and deliveries | Provided name, visit type, destination, time and decision | Place and record access requests. |
| Approximate location | Latitude and longitude during the search | Find nearby buildings. Location is only accessed after permission and is not monitored in the background. |
| Camera and microphone | QR code image and call media | Read the entrance code and enable video calls. Kaibell does not record call media. |
| Device | Notification token, platform and technical security data | Deliver doorbell alerts and protect the service. |
| Access records | Approval, decline, date, unit and who made the decision | Security, auditing and fraud prevention. |
3. Legal bases and purposes
We process data to deliver the requested service, comply with legal obligations, protect residents and visitors, prevent fraud and serve legitimate interests in building security. When necessary we request consent — especially for camera, microphone, location and notifications — which can be revoked in the iPhone settings.
4. Sharing
Data may be shared with the linked building, the authorized front desk and strictly necessary suppliers, such as hosting, database, push notifications and video call infrastructure. These suppliers receive only what they need to perform their function. We do not sell information and we do not share data for targeted advertising.
5. Video calls and external services
Video rooms are opened by specialized infrastructure. Audio and video travel during the call and are not recorded by Kaibell. The room provider may process technical data that is indispensable to the connection, according to its own terms.
6. Storage and security
We use HTTPS connections, hashed passwords, secure session tokens, role-based access control, request rate limiting and an isolated database. No system is absolutely invulnerable; relevant incidents will be handled in accordance with applicable law.
7. Retention and deletion
- Account and profile: kept while the account is active and deleted once the user completes the deletion.
- Notification and recovery tokens: removed with the account or once expired.
- Security records: may be kept unlinked from the account for up to 180 days, unless a different period is required by law, contract or the defense of legal rights.
- Backups: residual copies may remain protected until the normal overwrite cycle, for a maximum of 30 days.
8. Your rights
You may request confirmation of processing, access, correction, portability where applicable, information about sharing, withdrawal of consent and deletion. Deletion can be done directly in the app under Home → Privacy and account → Delete my account. See also the account deletion page.
9. Children and teenagers
Kaibell is not directed at children and must not be used to create a child account without the participation of the legal guardian and the building.
10. Changes and contact
This policy may be updated to reflect legal or functional changes. The version date is shown at the top. To exercise your rights or ask questions, write to privacidade@kaibell.app.
